Dr Kathryn Currow, Managing Director & Founder of Taking Paediatrics Abroad will be conducting a Videoconference held by the Telehealth Capability Interest Group on September 16th 2021 at 1pm (AEST).

On Thursday, the 16th of September 2021 the Telehealth Capability Interest Group welcomes Dr Kathryn Currow, founder of Taking Paediatrics Abroad (TPA) who will talk about TPA’s global telehealth and telemedicine program.

Taking Paediatrics Abroad connects experienced doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals from Australia with colleagues in remote communities and developing countries to share clinical knowledge, education, and expertise to support sick children and their families. Their aim is to address the significant inequalities that exist in global child health, by supporting and empowering health professionals in developing countries.

About the Presenter:

Dr Kathryn Currow  – Kathryn is a paediatric doctor, medical educator and leader, with broad-ranging Australian and international experience. She is passionate about contributing to improvements in the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Australia and globally. Kathryn established Taking Paediatrics Abroad in 2019.
